What this service is

CheckMyCarrier republishes public records published by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) about motor carrier companies, through this website and through a JSON API. Using the website or the API means you accept these terms.

Records are reproduced as published by FMCSA. CheckMyCarrier attaches no rating, score, grade or recommendation to any company, and expresses no opinion about whether you should do business with anyone.

Not a consumer reporting agency

CheckMyCarrier is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.), and the information provided here is not a consumer report or an investigative consumer report.

You may not use this service, in whole or in part, as a factor in establishing anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA or any comparable state law. The service contains records about companies and their federal filings, and is intended for commercial due diligence between businesses.

Accuracy and the snapshot date

The underlying data belongs to FMCSA and is republished by them on their own schedule. Filings can lag real events by days or longer, records can be superseded, and FMCSA can change or withdraw a dataset at any time. Every record served here carries the date it was read from FMCSA, and that date is part of the record's meaning.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Verify anything that matters against the official source at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov before acting on it.

Not affiliated with FMCSA

CheckMyCarrier is not affiliated with, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to FMCSA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, or any government agency. Agency names are used only to identify the source of the public records republished here.

Acceptable use

  • Keep the snapshot_date and disclaimer with any record you display, store or pass on. A federal filing quoted without the date it was read is misleading.
  • Do not present the data as a rating, a score, a certification, or as our opinion about any company.
  • Do not resell or redistribute bulk copies of the database as a competing dataset. Using the API inside your own product, for your own operations, is exactly what it is for.
  • Do not attempt to exceed rate limits by rotating addresses or keys, or otherwise interfere with the service.

Access may be suspended for use that breaches these terms.

Paid plans

Paid API plans are billed in advance through our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record. Fees are non-refundable except where refund rights are required by applicable law. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices and limits may change with notice for future periods.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckMyCarrier and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the service — including decisions made on the basis of a record served here.

Total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred United States dollars (US$100), whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CheckMyCarrier and its operator against any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your use of the data for any purpose these terms prohibit — in particular any FCRA-regulated purpose.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul, Türkiye have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the service evolves; the date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
